What Fabrics Must Be Dry Cleaned

My Laundry Question

Which materials should always be dry-cleaned? It would be nice to have a go-to list of "laundry-safe" and "dry-clean only" materials--or even better, a list of fabric types and the corresponding wash instructions.

Good question? I'm going to take your request for a list to heart and see what I can do. Unfortunately, not every fabric cleaning instruction is black and white. Some garments that are made of cotton should not be machine washed because of the construction technique or added embellishments. I do, however, have a list of questions that you can review before you wash or dry clean a garment. There are also washing and stain removal instructions for every type of fabric fiber available on the site.

Good luck!
