My Laundry Question
How to bleach a gray white cloth ( cotton fabric ) to a bright white cloth using liquid chlorine. Is it enough to soak the fabric in a hot water mixed with liquid chlorine for a particular time then wash it with cold water and sun drying ?
Share a Little Background Info
We Indians --particularly South Indians - wear a long cloth -- generally called as "dotti" which is generally of dimension 3 meters by 1.5 meter. This is generally grey in colour ( dull yellowish ) This is to be made bright white
- I have tried the general washing practises like washing machines with soap powder etc but it never bleaches in to awhite fabric. Somebody suggested liquid chlorine washing and hence this mail .

You can whiten 100 percent cotton fabric using chlorine bleach or oxygen-based bleach. Here are some tips to follow.
