My Laundry Question
I accidentally washed my favorite sports jersey and the garnet color transferred onto the white letters. Now the letters are a faint shade of pink! Is there any way I can return them to their white state?!
Share a Little Background Info
The stain is from color bleeding. The jersey is garnet and the letters on the jersey are white with a garnet border. I checked the other contents of the laundry and there was nothing else of red color in there so I am assuming the jersey is what caused the color bleeding onto the white lettering.
- I have not tried anything yet!

There are no colors I love more than Garnet & Black! Go USC Gamecocks! Here's how to save your jersey: Mix a solution of oxygen-based bleach (OxiClean, Clorox 2, Country Save Bleach, Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach) and lukewarm water in a sink or tub. Follow the package directions as to how much product to use per gallon of water. Completely submerge the jersey and allow it to soak for eight hours or overnight. If the lettering is white, wash as recommended here. If the lettering is still pink, drain the solution, mix a new batch and repeat the process. It may take a few tries but the color transfer should come out.
