My Laundry Question
How should I properly clean a pinkish/rust colored stain off my white baseball cap? It's a 57% poly / 43 % cotton blend, has a "no wash" symbol, but it does not have any "bleaching care" symbol.

My favorite baseball cap fell off while I was out on a freshwater lake. After it dried, a spot appeared on the brim and top of the cap. I tried cleaning it with laundry spot remover detergent, but now it has a large pink (kind of rust colored) spot.
It's 57% polyester and 43% coton, has a "no wash" symbol, but does not have a bleaching instructions symbol. I'm a little leery of the common advice I've seen elsewhere on the internet since the spot remover seemed to make things worse, and the only other advice I've read includes putting it in the dishwasher or putting it in a washing machine with bleach. Any advice?

You're right, the dishwasher idea is a bad one. Here's how to take care of baseball caps.
If you just want to treat the stain, mix a solution of oxygen-based bleach (OxiClean, Clorox 2, Country Save Bleach, Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach) and cool water. Dip a clean white cotton cloth in the solution and then "scrub" the stain on your hat. Move to a clean area of the cloth as the stain is transferred. Allow the hat to dry. You may need to repeat the process several times to get all of the stain.
