My Laundry Question

I have 12 white tablecloths and 5 blue. They have been washed and dried, but still have stains. Should I throw them away or is there still hope for them. They look nice but just wanted scream when I saw the stain. I am not sure what stained them. I loan them to my daughter for a party. Help please!

Share a Little Background Info

I loan my tablecloths to my daughter for party. I am not sure what stained the cloth. It could be tomato sauce, gravy or maybe punch. I am just guessing. They were washed, dried folded nicely. They looked nice. When I wanted to use them again they were yellow spots on the white cloths as well as the blue

Lessons Learned

  • i have tried to bleach the white tableclothes

Fabric Content of Item (if appropriate)

Cotton, some polyester blend

Mary Marlowe Leverette, About.com Laundry & Laundry Rooms, says:

Set-in stains are hard to remove especially after the fabric has been washed and dried. You can probably remove the stains but it will take patience. You should follow these instructions and be sure to work in small batches so the treatments can reach all the stained areas.

Good luck!
