My Laundry Question
I have a blue and white hollister striped shirt and a orange and white striped shirt. I accidentally washed a red shirt with it and it turned the white stripes light pink. How do I remove the pink from the white stripes?

Washed with a red shirt with a orange and white and a blue and white striped shirt. I dried them and the white stripes came out pink. What can I do to get rid of the stain? The shirts are brand new and really need help getting rid of the stain. I was wondering of oxyclean would work and my mom told me not to use bleach.
- To not wash anything with white with any reds

I'm sorry you had to learn this lesson the hard way. But there is hope! You were on the right track. You can use OxiClean or any oxygen-based bleach to remove the red dye stains. Mix a solution of OxiClean and warm water following the package directions. You can use the sink, washer tub or a large plastic container. Submerge your shirts and allow them to soak for 24 hours. Check the shirts after 24 hours and if the white stripes are no longer pink, wash as usual. If they are still pink, repeat the process with a clean solution for another 24 hours. The pink should disappear!
