My Laundry Question

I have a sweatshirt that got pills from a blanket and I cant get off

Share a Little Background Info

I washed my sweatshirt with blankets. this one blanket was a knitted blanket . i had know idea it would leave lint on other close. the washer is a bosh front loader that never had a problem . did i leave spin cycle to fast or to long?

did i wash close on to high cycle?

Lessons Learned

  • I will never wash those together again.

Mary Marlowe Leverette, About.com Laundry & Laundry Rooms, says:

You did nothing wrong except washing the two items together. Some fabric will shed for many, many, many washings. To remove the lint/pilling from your sweatshirt, you can try washing it alone and added 1 cup of white distilled vinegar to the rinse cycle. The vinegar will help rinse away any detergent residue that may be "holding on" to the lint and relax the fibers slightly. If that doesn't work, you will need to use a clothes shaver or fabric comb on the sweatshirt.

Good luck!
