My Laundry Question
I recently went and got a massage and she applied some perfume oil to my face and forehead. a part of the fur on my fur trapper hat got some of the scent and oil on it, and its kinda funky and looks wet in that spot now. Is this bad for the fur? How can I clean it??

Never owned real fur before, and sad this happened on the first day I wore my hat! Argh!

- Haven't tried anything yet. But willing to try something with a suggestion!
Mary Marlowe Leverette, Laundry Guide, says:
I have some good information on how to clean a fur hat and you'll see that the safest bet for real fur is to find a professional.
One thing you can try is to dust the area of the stain with cornstarch. Allow the powder to stay on for 30 minutes or so to absorb as much of the oil as possible. Then carefully shake and brush it away. You may need to repeat several times. This should also help with the odor.
Good luck!
