My Laundry Question
How does one remove the odor of Kerosene from fleece garments or from denim garments?
Share a Little Background Info
When attempting to add fuel to my outside K-1 tank I spilled it on my fleece vest and on my denim pant leg. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- I tried washing the garments in Pine Sol and Tide detergent but the odor remains.
Mary Marlowe Leverette, About.com Laundry & Laundry Rooms, says:To remove the odor of any type of fuel oil, fill your washer with water and add 1 cup baking soda. Add your washable clothes and allow to soak 30 minutes or even overnight. Add detergent and wash as usual. This should take care of the problem.
