My Laundry Question
I have a Stetson Moose River, in brown. I have what appears to be two greasy "scuffs" or smears; one 3-3.5 inches on the front of the crown, the other along the very top crease of the crown - in the rear.
I don't want to brush it, and transfer the grease / make the spot larger. But they are noticeable, so I'd like to see what I can do to reduce the obvious, (and this is one case where WD40 is NOT likely a good / creative solution.)
Share a Little Background Info
I'm not sure how this happened. Given the location on the top of the crown, maybe hat was set on a greased surface? The rest of the fabric is totally dry, and I am not aware of what substance might be the culprit.
Lessons Learned
- I've not yet tried ANY solutions, as I certainly don't want to make any problems worse!
- I am not aware of what else I should try
Fabric Content of Item (if appropriate)
Stetson felt (I don't know the beaver fur content)
