My Laundry Question

I washed my daughter's dark blue jeans with other colored laundry and the blue bled on to other clothes. The clothes are not white so I can't use bleach to take out the blue color. Any suggestions? Would color safe bleach work?

Share a Little Background Info

I Washed dark colored pants with other colors and the color bled onto other clothes in the wash. I used warm water with a cold rinse. I should have just used cold water. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lessons Learned

  • wash dark colors together and use cold water.

Mary Marlowe Leverette, About.com Laundry & Laundry Rooms, says:

You can remove the blue dye safely by using oxygen based bleach (OxiClean, Clorox 2, Country Save Bleach, Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach) and following these steps.

Good luck!
