My Laundry Question
I was de-cluttering my closet and about to change out summer clothes for fall and winter clothes when I found lots of little bugs crawling on the carpet and on clothes that were wool-blends. I am afraid the bugs will come back because of unseen eggs - do I need to wash EVERYTHING in my entire closet - even items that I saw no bugs on like cotton t-shirts and synthetic fabric? what are the best products to treat the bug infestation?
Share a Little Background Info
I threw out the clothes with lots of holes that are unwearable now. I'm taking other clothes which I found bugs on to the dry cleaners or washing them. I've vacuumed and will clean more. Then I'm going to get moth/carpet beetle products at the store. Do you have recommendations for what products to buy and what works the best to remedy the situation?
- I have learned that good housekeeping is very important. I will not be letting my clothes pile up like this again. It was horrifying to find bugs and holes on my clothes! I usually don't wash items after every use because if I don't see a food stain or perspiration I want my clothes to last longer and not look worn from washing after every wear, but now I'm going to be more careful about putting clothes back in the closet. I would appreciate any advice you could share. Thanks in advance for your time and help!

I'm sorry! The photo looks like a carpet beetle but I have a good photo list to help you identify any critters you find. You can find the methods to control the insects using insecticides here or green methods here.
