My Laundry Question

How do you remove cold cream residue from the drum in the washer?

Share a Little Background Info

I use use cold cream and waterproof makeup. When I wash the towels in the washing machine a film of cold cream and makeup is left on the drum. I'm sure this film is throughout the washer and in the drain pipes too. How do I remove this film from my washer?

Lessons Learned

  • I've tried clorox and vinegar. Nothing seems to work.

Mary Marlowe Leverette, About.com Laundry & Laundry Rooms, says:

The key to removing the cold cream and makeup is hot water! Follow these tips and your washer will be clean as a whistle.

Good luck!
