Question: How do I get rid of cigarette smoke odor?
Here's how to remove cigarette smoke odors: Stale cigarette and cigar odors are never pleasant. If you've had a smoky encounter, treat your clothing as soon as possible to regain freshness.
Answer:

If your clothing and linens are washable, fill your washer with the hottest water recommended for your fabrics and add one cup baking soda and one cup white vinegar. Allow the clothing to soak for at least one hour, add detergent and wash as usual. You do not need to drain out the original soaking water.

If your clothing is not washable, try hanging garments outside to air. A few days of fresh air may do the trick. Or, use a home dry cleaning kit or take your garments to a professional cleaner to freshen.
