Baking Soda: Iron Cleaner for the Laundry

By , About.com Guide

Baking soda is a mineral compound that works as a gentle abrasive. To remove built-up starch and deposits from the face plate of a cool iron, mix a paste of baking soda and vinegar. Using a white cloth, rub the paste over the face of the iron and then wipe off with a damp cloth.

Your iron will glide smoothly and leave no tell-tale deposits!
