Guide Review - Natural Elements Purex Fabric Softener - Laundry Guide Review
Along with my testing of Natural Elements Purex Laundry Detergent , I also tried Natural Elements Ultra Purex Fabric softener in the same Linen and Lilies scent. The fabric softener from the Dial Corporation performed well at softening clothes using only biodegradable element.
This product is not as green as its companion detergent. The packaging contains no post consumer recycled content; however, it can be recycled when empty.
I am not a huge fan of fabric softeners because of the problems they can cause. They should never be used on children's sleepwear or flame-resistant fabrics because they reduce the effectiveness of flame resistance. Even on fluffy fabrics like terry cloth and fleece they can increase flammability. Plus fabric softeners can cause spotting on laundry if they do not dissolve immediately in the rinse cycle.
I prefer to use baking soda or white vinegar to soften laundry. If you still feel you need a commercial fabric softener, this one softens well and is not so bad for the environment.
