Definition:
Used to pretreat stains before laundering, these products are available as aerosols, pump sprays, sticks, pens and liquids. Pretreatment products are solvent-based often made with petroleum distillates. They work particularly well in removing oil-based stains from manufactured fibers such as polyester, acrylic and olefins.
