Laundry Room Efficiency and Design

If you have an opportunity to build or remodel a laundry room, here are some design tips to make laundry time more efficient and pleasant.

Washing Machine Use and Care

Washers range from sleek, colorful designs to basic machines that get the job done. Before you buy, determine what you need and how you'll care for it.

Clothes Dryer Use and Care

Dryers are basic machines that have not changed dramatically in many years. There is very little difference in brands and how they work. Because of the lack of variation in dryers, they are not rated or designated as Energy Star appliances. You should consider the needs of your family and your needs. Remember, while it looks great, washers and dryers do not need to be a matching set.

Irons, Clothes Steamers, Clotheslines and More

Small appliances that will help you handle laundry duties with ease.
