Question: Do I need a special detergent for my baby's clothes?
Answer:

While there are detergents touted as just for babies, as long as you use a mild detergent without dyes or fragrance you can safely wash your baby’s clothing with your own. The exception is diapers which must be handled carefully and washed in a separate load.

Do not use liquid fabric softener or dry sheets which may irritate baby’s skin due to the added perfume. Always wash a child’s pajamas in detergent rather than animal-based natural soaps to protect the flame-retardant treatment in sleepwear.
