Question: How do I iron embroidered linens and garments?
Here's how to iron embroidered linens and clothes:
Answer: Embroidered and embellished linens, jackets and blouses are beautiful and you want to keep them that way. If your item needs pressing, always iron on the backside. To prevent flattening the shape and design, put a thick, soft terry towel – preferably white to avoid color transfer – under the garment. If you must, for some reason, iron on the right side of the embroidery; always use a pressing cloth between the iron and your item. This will prevent tearing and creating shine on the fabric.
