Guide Review - Method Laundry Detergent - Laundry Product Review
Method Laundry Detergent is just one of the many personal and home care products offered by the method company. The company was founded by two young men, Adam Lowry and Eric Ryan, who combined their talents to produce products with stylish packaging and earth-friendly ingredients.
Their method laundry line offers detergent in four formulas (free + clear, fresh air, peony blossom and lavender cedar), fabric softener and dryer sheets. Every product follows method's commitment to green products and packaging. The detergent comes in three sizes, 25 loads, 32 loads and 50 loads. Each product can be used in regular or high-efficiency washers. The formula is highly concentrated and offered in a pump design. The pump dispenses detergent directly into the washer and the number of pumps depends on the size of your laundry load. The product can also be used directly on fabrics as a spot treater.

I tested the Fresh Air formula. The scent was pleasant and did not leave a heavy perfume on finished laundry. It performed well in removing normal levels of soil but did not work well on heavy soil (red mud). It took a second washing with spot treating and scrubbing to remove those stains.
The pump dispenser was easy to use and doesn't leak even when overturned. The bottle is small and convenient to store. Method products are available at retailers nationwide. Cost per load is around 32 cents.
