Guide Review - Purex Complete Crystals Fabric Softener - Laundry Product Review
Purex Complete Crystals Softener is a 92 percent natural product in a crystal form that go in at the start of the wash with the detergent. Most fabric softeners must be added during the rinse cycle. If you don't have a washer with an automatic dispenser, it is easy to miss the timing of the rinse cycle. Purex Crystals eliminate that problem. The crystals are added directly into the wash drum at the beginning of the wash.
I tested the Lavender Blossom and Fresh Spring Waters scents. There is also a Tropical Splash available. Ingredients are listed as:
The formula looks like lightly colored, sparkling crystals. They pour out into a transparent plastic lid that makes seeing the measuring lines wonderfully easy to see. Lines are marked for medium, large and extra large loads. The product is safe for high-efficiency washers and regular washers.
I am usually not a fan of fabric softeners because they interfere with the fire retardancy of children's pajamas and bedding and make towels less absorbent. The Purex Crystals formula does neither. It can be safely used with children's clothes and towels come out soft but without an absorbent blocking film.
The fragrance is long-lasting; I used it with a non-scented detergent.
Purex is manufactured by Henkel. Purex Crystals are made in Mexico.
