Most homes in the United States have traditionally chosen a top-load washer while Europeans have long favored front-load machines. High efficiency front-load machines have found a niche in the market and consumers love the idea of using less water for each load.
Whirlpool has done their research and found that many American's prefer to continue using a top-load machine. So they have launched a line of Cabrio high efficiency top-load machines. The Cabrio also has the largest washer capacity on the market - 5.2 cu.ft and meets ENERGY STAR requirements. The line will launch this spring with prices beginning around $999 for the washer.
