I had a question in the Laundry Community Form about how to keep a linen skirt hem from rolling up. The writer ironed the skirt faithfully but it still rolled up. I gave her several solutions and the cause. The hem is rolling up because there is not enough weight to keep it stiff. This can be solved by adding iron-on interfacing to the underside of the hem, adding a bias tape on the inside or sewing in a lightweight chain inside the hem. Couture houses frequently use a chain to keep jacket and skirt hems hanging correctly. Join the Forum and we'll find you an answer to your every laundry need.
